Google News is a good example, where I can read one article from Toronto Sun, then the next from Xinhua, then a third from LA Times. What we need is a broker type structure (possibly ala Google News), where you pay the broker a monthly fee to read news articles, then the broker distributes the money based on what articles I click on or read. This will encourage competition between the newsmedia, and high quality articles will collect the most money.
